Welcome to Millie Jane Interiors — A Note From Elizabeth

Hello and welcome!

I’m Elizabeth Kose, the founder and principal designer behind Millie Jane Interiors. I’m so excited you’re here. Whether you’ve just discovered my work or have been a long-time follower, I’m thrilled to share more about myself, my journey, and what inspires the spaces I create.

A Little About Me

For over a decade, I’ve had the honor of working with incredible families to transform their homes into meaningful, functional, and beautiful places to live. As a proud member of the Interior Design Society (IDS), I’m committed to design excellence and client care — and above all, creating spaces that truly reflect the people who call them home.

My design approach is deeply personal. I believe great design starts with understanding how a space is lived in, loved, and shared. That connection is what transforms a house into a home.

My Design Style

My signature style is warm, classic, and timeless — with just the right touch of elegance. I love to layer textures, mix the old with the new, and create spaces that feel both curated and comfortable. The spaces I design are meant to be lived in — inviting you to sit down, take a deep breath, and simply stay awhile.

Family at the Heart

While design is my profession, home is my passion — and home, for me, begins with family.

I’ve been married to my husband, Doug, for 25 wonderful years. Together we live in beautiful Knoxville, Tennessee, with our two daughters, Anabel and Adeline, and our two beloved springer spaniels, Dutchess and Millie. Life at our house is full of love, laughter, and a fair amount of dog hair — and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Family is the heart of everything I do, and it’s also the heart of Millie Jane Interiors. In fact, the name itself is inspired by the ones who matter most — our sweet “Millie Jane,” a name that represents a blend of strength, grace, and timeless style. Every project I take on carries that same spirit: a blend of beauty, comfort, and meaning.
